art school...

i went to a lecture at the art college and this was carved in to the desk.
now i know that the flash takes away from the actual subject there but...
it's not that great for someone with supposedly good drawing skills
as required for entry to art school...
if i was applying to an art school and saw this i would change my mind
and look for another college...
if this is the best they can do to to the desks without
a shit brief from a tutor then...
where's the perspective? additional colour? texture?
know what i'm sayin???
